Bob Scott is an award-winning music producer and sound designer, with extensive experience in everything from editing and mixing to large-scale concert recording. He works in television, film, contemporary music production, theatre, opera and live broadcast. Bob has recorded, produced, edited and engineered everything from the intimate studio recordings of Bach Partitas to live broadcast of the Gallipoli Symphony in Turkey. Major talents Bob has worked with include Nigel Westlake, Lior, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sarah Blasko, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Nigel Kennedy and Ensemble Offspring. Bob has worked extensively with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and was sound supervisor in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House.
Bob Scott is also a composer with a particular interest in electronic processing of acoustic instruments. Whether in the theatre world, in live shows, or with dance, Bob enjoys working across diverse musical styles and formats, searching for cross pollination and evolution of different production techniques and practices.
Bob Scott is a recipient of the Australian Screen Sound Guild award, and an AACTA (AFI) and Helpmann Award 2012 Nominations.
